Charlotte Havern scored the only goal of the game as Northern Ireland defeated Germany in yesterday’s Women’s Under-17 European Championship fixture at Inver Park.

The Reds midfielder found the net with 13 minutes remaining of the clash as Gail Redmond’s side bowed out of the competition with an impressive flourish.

Havern started all three of Northern Ireland’s fixtures in a Group A schedule that commenced with a 2-0 defeat to England last Monday and 3-0 reverse at the hands of Norway on Thursday.

Cliftonville team-mate Annarose Robinson, meanwhile, emerged from the bench in both the opener and yesterday’s win having been named in the line-up against the Norwegians in between.
