Reds pay late Fi
Cliftonville Ladies 1-1 Lisburn Rangers
Fi Morgan scored a late leveller as Cliftonville Ladies’ first home game of the season finished in a 1-1 draw with Lisburn Rangers.
Having got their defence of the Boyle Sports Women’s Cup off to a winning start with last week’s defeat of Derry City, the Reds’ bid for back-to-back Group Bvictories were dashed when Caoimhe Gelston Mulholland gave the visitors a 25th minute lead shortly after a Kirsty McGuinness finish had been ruled out for offside.
After the break, Cliftonville poured forward in search of a turnaround and they set up a grandstand finale when Morgan powered in a trademark header 10 minutes from time but, despite a late rally, Brendan Lynch’s side were unable to find a winner.
