Derry City Women 1-3 Cliftonville Ladies

Carla Devine scored twice as Cliftonville Ladies began their defence of the Boyle Sports Women’s Cup with a Group B victory over Derry City Women at Mill Meadow this evening.

Ahead when Devine broke the deadlock on 26 minutes, the Reds’ advantage was doubled when Caitlin McGuinness added a quickfire second.

Devine made it 3-0 before the break to put the Cup holders in full control ahead of Cache Crumlish-Hawes pulling one back for the Candystripes in the closing minutes of the game.
