Still Ryan high
Ryan Curran’s goal in this afternoon’s 1-1 draw with Bangor saw him join the exclusive club of players who have found the net 100 times in Cliftonville colours.
Signed from Ballinamallard United in the summer of 2018, Ryan made his debut in the Europa League clash with Nordsjælland in July of that year and opened his Reds scoring account when he broke the deadlock in a 3-0 Premiership victory over Institute two months later.

He celebrated a notable milestone earlier this season when his header against St Joseph’s at Europa Point Stadium in Gibraltar marked not only his first effort in Europe but also the maiden goal in the 2025/26 UEFA Conference League, although there’s no doubting his most celebrated strike for Cliftonville came when he stroked home the injury-time winner that defeated Ballymena United in the 2020 County Antrim Shield Final – just two minutes after the Reds had equalised.

Now the eighth-top scorer in the Club’s history, the 32-year-old’s century of goals comprises 53 at Solitude and 47 away from home, with 18 penalties and 13 doubles included in the mix – while 11 finishes in friendlies further complements a tally achieved in 292 appearances.
