Huge congratulations to everyone involved with the Cliftonville side that was today crowned Minor Section Champions at the SuperCupNI.

A 1-0 victory over Linfield in the Final saw the Wee Reds take the honours at the end of a busy and impressive week of action in the North West.

After beating Loughgall 4-1 on Monday, Cliftonville overcame Surf Select 6-2 the following day and, though defeated by Leeds United in Wednesday’s final Group C game, they progressed to take on Shamrock Rovers in the semi-final stage.

Following a 1-1 draw at Anderson Park, the Reds triumphed in a penalty shootout to set up this morning’s Coleraine Showgrounds showdown with the Blues, where a single goal proved enough to earn the trophy.

As well as commending the players on their wonderful achievement, all at the Club also place on record our thanks and congratulations to the team’s dedicated coaching staff and, of course, the many proud parents, siblings and extended families who will have taken such joy from the squad’s efforts throughout the week.
