BetMcLean Cup Final fever reached Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School today!

Eighteen days ahead of Cliftonville doing battle with Glentoran for the silverware at Windsor Park, Reds duo Eric McWoods and Jack Keaney helped Park Lodge youngsters continue their countdowns in the company of the trophy itself.

With every ticket in both decks of the North Stand and the Kop Stand having been snapped up, including an additional release batch last week, the Red Army will be out in the numbers for the eagerly-anticipated occasion when Jim Magilton and his players will bid to emulate the heroes of 2003, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2022 by becoming the seventh Cliftonville side to toast League Cup glory – and there will be more than a few kids from Park Lodge cheering them on!

Don’t forget that, as part of the build-up to the big game, Reds legends George McMullan, Barry Johnston and Peter Murray – all of whom enjoyed multiple successes in the competition – will be on the panel for a special recording of the NI Football League’s popular ‘Box To Box’ podcast in the Social Club at Solitude next Monday night.
