Another case for the defence

The County Antrim Cup Final will take place on Saturday, August 24.

Hosted at Blanchflower Stadium, the occasion will see Cliftonville Ladies bid to defend their trophy when they go head-to-head with Glentoran Women.

John McGrady’s Reds – who boast a 100% record in the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership after eight games of the current season – have already retained the Women’s League Cup this term and will bid to add to Solitude’s bustling trophy cabinet in this latest showpiece decider.

Kick-off is set for 7.30pm, meaning there’s scope to enjoy a double-header of big match action with the Men’s team contesting the 2024/25 campaign’s first North Belfast Derby of the season at Seaview earlier in the day.

October’s Women’s Premiership home encounter with the Glens has, meanwhile, been rescheduled from Friday the 4th to Sunday the 6th (6pm), while next month’s Solitude battle with Lisburn Rangers has been moved from September 27 to Sunday the 29th (3pm).
