Let’s Joe again!
Cliftonville Football Club are delighted to announce that Joe Gormley has signed a contract extension.
Scorer of a Club record 309 goals in 574 appearances, the 36-year-old striker has put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at Solitude until the end of the 2026/27 campaign.
‘The Goal’ made his Reds debut in a Europa League encounter with The New Saints back in 2011 and, following a two-year stint with Peterborough United between 2015-2017, picked up where he left off back in north Belfast; beating Kevin McGarry’s goal milestone in October 2018 before crashing through the 300-strike barrier last season.
Indeed, his 15 strikes during the 2025/26 term saw him claim yet another Golden Boot accolade at the recent Cliftonville FC Awards, and we are very pleased to inform our fans that our legendary number 19 certainly isn’t finished yet.
