Cliftonville 1-2 Dungannon Swifts

Cliftonville’s season came to a disappointing conclusion with defeat in this evening’s BetMcLean European Play-Off semi-final at Solitude.

Shortly after Dungannon Swifts had taken the lead through Adam Glenny, Luke Conlan nodded the Reds level to ensure parity at the interval and, despite controlling long stretches of the second-half, the hosts found themselves behind again courtesy of Kealan Dillon’s well-taken finish.

Unable to generate a late rally in their bid to force extra-time, Cliftonville couldn’t re-establish the rhythm they had played with before the Swifts’ winning goal and ultimately fell to a loss.
