Opening gambit

The new Sports Direct Women’s Premiership campaign kicks off at Solitude on Friday evening.

Cliftonville Ladies play host to Lisburn Ladies in an eagerly-anticipated opening night tie that the Reds will hope marks the first step towards reclaiming the League title.

Brendan Lynch’s side have already played three games this season, recording the full gamut of potential outcomes having narrowly lost an All-Island Cup tie to Treaty United before overcoming Derry City Women in the Boyle Sports Cup ahead of last Sunday’s draw with Lisburn Rangers in the same competition.

Kick-off on Friday is at 8pm and, with admission at the turnstiles set at £5 for Adults and £2 for Concessions, we would be delighted to welcome as many supporters as possible for the occasion.
