Cliftonville Ladies 2-3 Crewe United Over-35s

Cliftonville Ladies continued their preparations for the new season in an entertaining friendly with Crewe United Over-35s at Solitude this afternoon.

After skipper Kelsie Burrows had opened the scoring, a Crewe side featuring a host of familiar faces – including Burrows’ predecessor as captain, Marissa Callaghan – levelled matters before half-time, after which they went on to extend their advantage to 3-1.

Carla Devine pulled one back for the hosts but Brendan Lynch’s side were unable to force a late leveller as they count down to beginning their defence of the Boyle Sports Women’s Cup against Larne Women on Friday, April 10.
