Sticking point
Bangor 1-1 Cliftonville
Cliftonville were forced to settle for a point from this afternoon’s Sports Direct Premiership encounter with Bangor at Clandeboye Park.
Ahead when a foul on Conor Pepper allowed Ryan Curran to break the deadlock from the penalty spot, the Reds were pegged back when good work from Ben Cushnie put Ben Arthurs through on goal and he made no mistake.
Though the second period began with Cushnie striking the bar, it was Cliftonville who were in the ascendancy throughout, with Eric McWoods being denied by a smart save from Patrick Solis-Grogan.
Conor Falls and Adebayo Fapetu were both off target from promising positions, while fellow substitute Joe Gormley went close on three occasions; first drawing a flying stop from the keeper, then being unable to get on the end of a superb free-kick delivery from Micheal Glynn before a defence-splitting pass from Jonny Addis ended with the striker again kept at bay by Solis-Grogan.
