Red Army dig deeper than ever
Huge thanks are extended to everyone who ensured that our 11th annual Christmas Foodbank Collection proved the biggest one yet.
Cliftonville supporters made waves of typically generous donations to our friends at Foodstock ahead of Saturday’s Sports Direct Premiership victory over Glenavon at Solitude, with Reds players also making a welcome contribution.
In addition to the receipt of almost £1,000 in cash, group founder Paul Doherty commented that the charity’s jam-packed van “just about made it back” to their depot.
“The biggest collection ever at Solitude,” he confirmed.
“The van just about made it back to the foodbank after an incredible response from supporters, with £917.46 raised in donations.
“We owe the supporters and the Club a massive thanks for looking out for people once again this Christmas.”
Supporters can, of course, continue to help Foodstock provide assistance to people in our community all year round, with full details available at foodstockcharity.com.
