Newberry charity events

As we approach the first anniversary of the tragic loss of Michael Newberry, supporters are notified of two forthcoming events in his memory.

At 10am on Sunday, December 28 – two days before what would have been the popular Geordie’s 28th birthday – a sponsored walk in aid of Action Mental Health and TAMHI will take place between Windsor Park and Solitude.

Following the provision of tea, coffee and further refreshments, Solitude will then play host to the Michael Newberry Memorial Cup competition at 12pm.

Organised by the Michael Newberry CSC in collaboration with their colleagues at the Jonny Addis CSC, entries to the 16-team 9aSide tournament can be registered here at a cost of £100.

Each squad is permitted a maximum of 12 players and you can complete your enrollment by messaging the Michael Newberry CSC on Facebook.

Two wonderful events in aid of fine causes and in memory of a much-missed character, everyone involved in the organisation of the day’s schedule would be delighted to welcome you along.
