Congratulations to Cliftonville Ladies midfielder Teegan Lynch, who has been named Sports Direct Women’s Premiership Player of the Month for September.

The 22-year-old scored four goals during the period to help the Reds set up this evening’s winner-takes-all title showdown with Glentoran Women at Blanchflower Stadium.

Lynch and her team-mates trail the Glens by two points at the top of the table but will reclaim their crown if they can emerge from east Belfast with three points later today.

“It was a great month for me, scoring home and away against Linfield,” she said.

“The whole team has done exceptionally well this season, but everything rests on the next week with the League decider this weekend and the Irish Cup Final next weekend.

“At the moment, our full focus is on Glentoran. The Glens just need a draw to win the title, but if we win, we’re Champions. In some ways, I think that makes life easier for us as we know exactly what we have to do.”
