The month ahead: August
Cliftonville’s League season kicks off in just nine days as part of a busy month of action for both our Men’s and Ladies’ teams.
It all starts tomorrow when Jim Magilton’s side travel to Dixon Park for a friendly with Ballyclare Comrades ahead of the Ladies taking on Lanchkhuti in a Champions League tussle in Kosovo.
The Reds’ Sports Direct Premiership programme commences against Bangor at Clandeboye Park next Sunday, August 10 before Coleraine visit Solitude six days later.
Our first midweek outing of the season sees us play host to Larne on the 19th before a Clearer Twist Stadium duel with Linfield precedes a home game against Glenavon on the 30th.
Cliftonville Ladies will, meanwhile, return to domestic action in a North Belfast Derby duel with Crusaders Strikers next Friday, August 8.
After hosting Glentoran Women in a County Antrim Cup quarter-final showdown on Monday the 11th, there then follows a double header of battles with Lisburn Rangers at Crewe Park and Solitude on August 15 and 25 respectively.
Another derby duel with Crusaders awaits in the quarter-finals of the Electric Ireland Irish Cup at Seaview on the 22nd before the Reds entertain Derry City Women on League duty on the 29th – so be sure that all of those dates are in your diary as we gear up for another big run of matches.
