Out to Lanch

Cliftonville Ladies will face Lanchkhuti in the Women’s Champions League first qualifying round Group 6 Final.

The Reds created history when they became the first ever Irish League side to win through a round in the competition courtesy of yesterday’s sensational 3-1 triumph over Mitrovica in Kosovo, where Carla Devine’s hat-trick secured the team’s place in this Saturday’s encounter with Georgia’s representatives.

Kick-off at Fadil Vokrri Stadium in Pristina is scheduled for 6pm, with the winners of the tie progressing to face Vorskla Poltava (Ukraine) in second qualifying round Group 5 on August 27. Whoever emerges on top in that game will take on either Gintra (Lithuania) or Farul Constanta (Romania) in the Final three days later.
