Congratulations to Naomi McLaughlin, who has been named the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership Player of the Month for June.

As well as getting on the scoresheet in Cliftonville Ladies’ victory over Larne Women, McLaughlin played an instrumental role in the Reds’ VBet Women’s League Cup Final defeat of Glentoran Women, with involvement in all four goals as the team roared back from 2-0 down to claim the trophy at Seaview.

“I’m buzzing of course, it’s great to pick up Player of the Month,” she said.

“I’m just glad to help the team in any way I can. I was involved in all four goals in the League Cup Final. That was really nice for me.

“I missed a lot of football and now I’m buzzing to be back. It’s nice to pick up this award when I’ve been out for a long time.”
