Devine’s double delight

Carla Devine netted twice as Cliftonville Ladies claimed a convincing victory over Larne Women at Solitude this evening.

Kirsty McGuinness opened the scoring with just four minutes on the clock and it wasn’t long until Fi Morgan had connected with a Naomi McLaughlin corner to make it 2-0.

Devine got her first of the night on 18 minutes, with McLaughlin making it 4-0 at the break.

An unstoppable strike from Marissa Callaghan extended the Reds’ advantage after the interval ahead of Caitlin McGuinness’ inevitable appearance on the scoresheet and, after Teegan Lynch had claimed the hosts’ seventh, Devine did well to steer home her second of the night to round off the victory.
