Well earned

Congratulations to Danielle Maxwell, who was last night named Women’s Ulster Footballer of the Year.

The 23-year-old, who transferred from Cliftonville Ladies to Burnley in February, scored 11 goals in the treble trophy triumph that saw the Reds lift last season’s VBet League Cup and Electric Ireland Women’s Irish Cup either side of completing an invincible Premiership campaign in which they won every single game en route to the title.

Following on from Caitlin McGuinness and Marissa Callaghan in 2023 and 2024 respectively, Danielle is the third player in a row to have been awarded the prestigious accolade for their exploits in a Cliftonville shirt.
