Beware online ticketing fraud
Ahead of Sunday’s BetMcLean Cup Final, Cliftonville supporters are again reminded to be cautious of the rise of social media scammers purporting to be conducting ticket sales.
Often portraying themselves in the guise of a fan who has bought tickets but can no longer attend the game in question for spurious reasons, these fraudsters are most prevalent on Facebook and, while our social media admin do all they can to remove such comments and block the accounts behind them, we are mindful that one or two may slip through the net from time to time and ask all supporters to be wary of ever interacting with these scam profiles.
Likewise, do not follow their invitation to move the discussion to private messaging, where they invariably ask for payment via PayPal.
Cliftonville’s entire allocation of tickets for Sunday’s match has sold out, with the Red Army set to bring typical noise and colour to both tiers of Windsor Park’s North Stand as well as the Kop Stand.
Genuine ticketing outlets for all fixtures are regularly communicated here on our website and via our various social media platforms and supporters are encouraged to ensure that these trustworthy vendors are your only point of sale.
