Jim Magilton says it’s only natural that Cliftonville will take confidence from their most recent visit to Windsor Park but anticipates the sternest of challenges from Linfield in tomorrow’s Sports Direct Premiership clash.
The Reds won 2-1 when the sides met back in October, however of greater concern to the Manager is an improvement on the performance his team delivered in last weekend’s defeat of Loughgall.
“Any good memories you get, you reflect on,” he says.
“You always take confidence and belief from good memories but we’re under no illusions about the size of the task we face.
“When you walk in there, it is always difficult. They’ve many outstanding players and we’ve got to be really focused.
“We can’t turn over ball the way we turned over ball last week because we will get punished.
“Every game we play now, we have to empty the tank. We’re getting players back, which is great in terms of Kris Lowe getting more minutes. Shea Gordon is there and we’ve got Jack Keaney in.
“We’re looking to do a little bit more business and Sean Stewart is nearly back for us.
“This is an important period for us and we’ve got to really kick on.”
