Doherty departs

Cliftonville Football Club confirms the sale of Ronan Doherty to Coleraine.

The midfielder, who turns 29 today, joined the Reds from Institute in the summer of 2019 and made the first of 240 appearances in the Europa League encounter with Barry Town United in Cardiff.

Having won the County Antrim Shield, BetMcLean Cup and Irish Cup over the last five-and-a-half years, Ronan – who scored 13 goals during that period – departs Solitude after the Club’s valuation was met by Coleraine, with whom he had already agreed a pre-contract deal for a move at the end of the season.
