Another trick of delight

Cliftonville 4-0 Loughgall

Joe Gormley celebrated his second hat-trick in a fortnight to help Cliftonville power past Loughgall at Solitude this afternoon.

After smashing home a penalty just after the half-hour mark, Gormley claimed his second of the day with an inch-perfect 56th minute chip before thundering home another left footed effort to seal his treble soon later.

He then immediately made way amid a raft of substititions, with one of the incoming players – 15-year-old Coran Madden – using his first touch to tee Rory Hale up for the fourth.

The Reds did have the ball in the net again in the closing minutes but an offside flag prevented Ryan Curran from putting the seal on a five-star display from the hosts.
