Avon’t lost it

Joe Gormley’s opener against Glenavon has been voted Cliftonville’s Goal of the Month for August.

Seizing on possession just outside the penalty area, the striker unleashed a first-time effort that gave the Lurgan Blues’ goalkeeper no chance and set the Reds on course for victory at Mourneview Park.

The effort – which you can check out along with last month’s other nominee below – will now automatically be shortlisted for Cliftonville’s Goal of the Season at the end of the campaign.
