Congratulations to Hannah Doherty, who has been named the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership Player of the Month for June.
Part of the team that lifted the VBet League Cup, the 26-year-old also netted an eye-catching strike in Cliftonville Ladies’ 4-0 victory over Linfield Women at Midgley Park.
“These awards usually go to forwards, so it’s nice to win one for the defenders’ union!,” she said after being honoured by the NI Football Writers’ Association.
“It’s been a fantastic month for both myself and the team. We’ve won the League Cup and we’re still in the title race. Hopefully we can kick on and win more silverware.”
