Reds will have another Final say

Cliftonville Ladies 4-1 Lisburn Rangers Ladies

Cliftonville Ladies booked their place in their FOURTH Final of the season by overcoming Lisburn Rangers Ladies in this evening’s Electric Ireland Women’s Challenge Cup tie at Seaview.

Having already collected the County Antrim Cup and Women’s Premiership League Cup, the Reds – who also contested the inaugural Avenir Sports All-Island Cup decider – will tackle Glentoran Women for the right to lift the Irish Cup next month after seeing off a stern challenge from their Championship opponents tonight.

Following a goalless first-half, Vicky Carleton broke the deadlock only for Eve Reilly to register a quickfire leveller for Rangers.

Three goals in eight minutes saw the Reds race away, however, with Kathryn McConnell’s unfortunate own goal being followed up by a strike from Marissa Callaghan and Carleton’s second of the night.
