August occasion

The Women’s Premiership League Cup Final will be played at Stangmore Park on Thursday, August 31.

Cliftonville Ladies, who suffered defeat to Sion Swifts Ladies in last year’s decider, will be gunning for revenge when the sides once again go toe-to-toe for the coveted silverware in a contest postponed from its original date of Sunday, July 23.

Ticketing information for the eagerly-anticipated showdown – which is slated for a 7.45pm start – will be confirmed by the NI Football League in due course, while the September 1 Sports Direct Women’s Premiership tie between the Reds and Sion will be rearranged.

John McGrady’s side, who also have a County Antrim Cup Final clash with Crusaders Strikers to tackle on Monday night, return to action when they face Linfield Women in the second round of the Electric Ireland Women’s Challenge Cup at Midgley Park this evening.
