Ballyclare Comrades 0-3 Cliftonville

Ronan Hale struck twice in the first-half as Cliftonville continued their pre-season preparations with a 3-0 victory over Ballyclare Comrades at Dixon Park this afternoon.

The opener came when Hale twisted and turned inside the box, leaving three defenders in his wake, before slamming past goalkeeper Gerard Walker.

Good work from Stephen McGuinness teed Hale up to touch home number two and, during a second-half punctuated by substitutions, Jack Berry put the seal on things when he steered a drive into the bottom corner.

Cliftonville: Gartside, Addis, Gallagher, C Curran, McDonagh, Robinson, Doherty, Gormley, Turner, Ronan Hale, McGuinness. Subs: Odumosu (for Gartside), Kearney (for McDonagh), Rory Hale (for C Curran), Wilson (for Ronan Hale), Foster (for McGuinness), Casey (for Gallagher), Berry (for Gormley), Storey (for Doherty).
