Cliftonville Football Club are very pleased to confirm Ricky McCann’s return to Solitude as part of Jim Magilton’s backroom team.

Strength and Conditioning coach Ricky was a valuable member of Tommy Breslin’s staff during the Reds’ title triumphs of 2013 and 2014, and is back at the Club following a spell with Linfield. One of the leading sports scientists in the country, Ricky is also a key component of Michael O’Neill’s support team for the Northern Ireland international side.

We are likewise pleased to announce Rob Murdie’s appointment as our new Goalkeeping Coach.

Previously with Ballyclare Comrades, UEFA Goalkeeping B Licence holder Rob is currently the Head Goalkeeping Coach at Belfast Met’s full-time Academy and is highly respected for his work at the Rangers Academy NI and NIGK Institute, where he has developed and coached Elite Academy and professional club goalkeepers.

Also joining the Club is physiotherapist Gary Crosbie.

Most recently with Ballymena United, Gary has prior experience with Donegal Celtic as well as the Body Basics Sports Injury Clinic, and is another welcome addition to the team at Solitude.

We place on record our sincere gratitude to outgoing physios Stuart Holmes and Conor Blee for their service in recent seasons and wish them very well for the future.

In repeating our thanks to Declan O’Hara for his dedication to various roles over many years with the Reds, we are similarly appreciative of former Goalkeeping Coach Conleth McCrudden and ex-First Team Coach Marty McCann for all the work they performed in their time with the Club.
