Cliftonville Ladies 3-0 Glentoran Women

Marissa Callaghan’s double set Cliftonville Ladies on course for the semi-finals of the Premiership League Cup at the expense of Glentoran Women at Solitude this evening.

After a goalless opening 45 minutes, the contest exploded into life early in the second-half when skipper Callaghan found the top corner with a fine finish before the underside of the crossbar helped her double the Reds’ advantage.

Hannah Doherty continued her fine form in front of goal by adding the third with just over a quarter of an hour left to play as Cliftonville – who were beaten in last year’s League Cup Final – clocked up an impressive victory en route to the last four.
