Fi Morgan has welcomed the move to stage Cliftonville Ladies matches on Friday nights throughout the 2023 season, insisting there is a “buzz” around Solitude that can help inspire the team.
The Reds will put their perfect start to the campaign on the line when they host Sion Swifts Ladies this evening (7.45pm) and, while expecting a tough game, Morgan says the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership Champions are prepared to battle for any rewards.
“Winning the League last year taught us all one thing – no matter what, you have to work hard,” explains the 19-year-old.
“Sion are a great team and pass the ball well. They’ve been getting better each season, along with other teams in the League, making it harder every single year.”
On the fixture schedule, she adds: “Friday nights playing football are better. More people come to see us closer to the weekend and it gives us more of a buzz hearing our fans.
“We appreciate every single person that takes their time to come out and support the Reds.”
