Ferry tough night

Three Cliftonville players were involved in this evening’s Centenary Shield match between Northern Ireland and Wales Schoolboys.

Michael Morgan and Logan Wallace (pictured) started the game at Briton Ferry, where Reds team-mate Joshua Ness was named on the bench in a game that also doubled up as a memorial for former Cliftonville player Frankie Wilson, who managed the NI Schoolboys team prior to his untimely death in October of last year.

A 3-1 win for the hosts sent them to the top of the Centenary Shield standings, leaving Northern Ireland to quickly shift focus to next week’s encounter with the Republic of Ireland in Belfast.
