Social Responsibility at Solitude

Cliftonville Football Club are pleased to announce the recent appointment of Pedro Donald as our Football Social Responsibility Officer.

Pedro, a serving member of the Management Committee at Solitude, will oversee the Reds’ commitment to the UEFA Football Sustainability Strategy ‘Strength Through Unity‘.

As part of this process, the Club has undertaken to forge new partnerships and to look at best practice in a number of areas.

We are pleased to report that our application for membership of the United Nations ‘Football for the Goals‘ initiative – an enterprise that provides a platform for the global football community to engage with and advocate for Sustainable Development Goals – has been granted.

The European Clubs Association also set up a Sustainability Committee to help steer and influence the future development of the UEFA sustainability strategy and our Chief Operating Officer, David Begley, holds a position on this panel.

Going forward, the Club will keep supporters informed of further developments and demonstrate the roles and actions that we can all take towards a sustainable future.
