A day after being voted Cliftonville’s Goal of the Month, Ronan Hale’s overhead kick against Portadown has this morning also been named February’s top strike by the NI Football Writers’ Association.

The 24-year-old produced some acrobatics to smash a Jamie McDonagh cross into the net and put the seal on the Reds’ 3-0 victory on Valentine’s Night.

The finish will now be automatically shortlisted for Goal of the Season at the NI Football Awards at the end of the campaign.
