Joe relishing rainey day

Joe Gormley believes big games like tomorrow’s Samuel Gelston’s Whiskey Irish Cup sixth round tie with Coleraine are to be savoured.

Just two weeks on from welcoming the Bannsiders to Solitude on Danske Bank Premiership duty, Cliftonville play host to the 11th meeting between the sides since August 2021 – and one that Gormley expects to be typically absorbing.

“I’m looking forward to it, two good sides and two in-form teams and it will be a great game,” he says.

“We’re in a good position at the minute and it’s going to be exciting with a long way to go. We’ll just take each game at a time and who knows where it will take us come the end of the season.”
