Ahead of a demanding run of fixtures that commences with this evening’s rearranged Danske Bank Premiership clash with Glentoran, Levi Ives says Cliftonville are raring to go.

Though they suffered defeat in successive showdowns with Ballymena United and Coleraine earlier this month, Ives was heartened by the response the team delivered in the weekend’s 4-1 victory over Portadown and is determined to continue in the same vein.

“We’re definitely going into the games in good shape, the lads have been brilliant,” he says.

“Obviously the previous results didn’t go our way but it’s all about bouncing back – which we did on Saturday.

“I love playing against Glentoran, it’s always a massive game and the lads always seem to do well against them as well. I’m looking forward to it and so are the lads.”
