Food for thought

Thanks are extended to everyone that assisted with Saturday’s Foodbank Collection at Solitude.

Staged ahead of the Danske Bank Premiership fixture with Newry City, the occasion heralded the formal beginning of the Club’s newly-established partnership with Fans Supporting Foodbanks NI, who will oversee the delivery of all donations to The Ardoyne Association.

“We had an amazing response,” said Paul Doherty of Fans Supporting Foodbanks NI, who was also delighted to welcome contributions from Reds players and from the Newry camp.

“Supporters really came together to support and show solidarity with people in communities this Christmas. It will make a massive difference to many.”
