A goalless draw with Crusaders followed before Joe Gormley netted in a 1-1 draw with Linfield in a County Antrim Shield tie that ultimately ended in penalty shootout defeat.

Though a heavy reverse at Larne followed, the Reds got back on track when Rory Hale (2), Curran and Gormley were on target in a 4-2 win at Coleraine ahead of Curran’s penalty settling this weekend’s joust with Carrick.
