Caitlin in fourmidable form
Mid Ulster Ladies 0-6 Cliftonville Ladies
Caitlin McGuinness netted four times as Cliftonville Ladies maintained their perfect form in the Danske Bank Women’s Premiership this evening.
Marissa Callaghan and Megan Moran were also on target in the Reds’ defeat of Mid Ulster Ladies in Cookstown, where the visitors’ 11th win from 11 League outings preserved their eight-point advantage at the top of the table.
McGuinness opened the scoring when she converted a Danielle Maxwell cross after just three minutes and the same duo combined to make it 2-0 on 17 minutes.
Callaghan missed the target with a penalty after Abbie Magee had been impeded in the box but atoned when she found the net from another Maxwell delivery before half-time.
Moran added a fourth early in the second period and, after sealing her second hat-trick in as many outings, McGuinness went one better when she completed the night’s scoring with the sixth from Erin Montgomery’s assist late on.
