Stepping up to the Plate

Belated congratulations to Cliftonville Under-14s, who lifted the Subway National League Plate after overcoming Rosario in last Friday’s Final.

Staged at Crumlin Leisure Centre, the game saw the Wee Reds follow in the footsteps of our Under-12s by claiming the silverware courtesy of a 5-0 success.

A big well done is extended to all the players, their coaches and parents on a sterling endeavour in bringing another trophy back to Solitude.

Commiserations are, meanwhile, offered to our Under-13s who, despite a concerted effort of their own, were just squeezed out by Ballymena United in their age-group Final at the same venue.
