Glentoran 1-2 Cliftonville
Cliftonville ended their season on a winning note by getting the better of Glentoran at The Oval this evening.
Roared on by a loud and proud Red Army, who had ventured to east Belfast in celebratory mode with their countdown to Europe having long since started, Cricky Gallagher’s first Danske Bank Premiership goal for the Club broke the deadlock after a quarter of an hour.
A fine individual effort from Ryan Curran doubled the visitors’ advantage after the break and, though Seanan Clucas pulled one back for the Glens late on, there was to be no denying Cliftonville the three final day points their performance deserved.
