Third degree for Paddy

Congratulations to Paddy McLaughlin, who has this evening been named March’s Aktivora Manager of the Month by the NI Football Writers’ Association.

McLaughlin led the Reds to a second consecutive perfect month, following up a 100% run in February with more of the same as Coleraine, Glentoran, Glenavon and Dungannon Swifts were all overcome in addition to a never-to-be-forgotten League Cup Final victory over the Bannsiders.

Collecting his third accolade of the season so far, McLaughlin said: “Although my name is on the trophy, this award is for the entire team.

“The mentality and character we showed throughout March was fantastic. Now we must maintain that until the end of the season.

“I think the consistency we have shown this season has maybe surprised people. It’s up to us to maintain that consistency.”
