Breen departs

Cliftonville Football Club can confirm that Garry Breen has this evening joined Dungannon Swifts.

Garry signed for the Reds from Portadown in the summer of 2017 and among the eight goals he registered in 135 appearances were a couple of memorable efforts, including a free-kick – coincidentally against Dungannon – that supporters voted Goal of the Season in 2020/21.

His last outing for the Club came in May of last year when he sustained an Achilles injury while helping the team secure a 2-0 victory over Glentoran at The Oval and, having worked hard to return to fitness, Garry departs Solitude with the sincere thanks and best wishes of everyone at Cliftonville as he embarks upon the next chapter of his career.
