Kirsty’s nifty fifty
Kirsty McGuinness marked her 50th international appearance by being one of three Cliftonville players on the scoresheet in Northern Ireland Women’s 4-0 defeat of Latvia at Windsor Park tonight.
After a goalless first-half, Louise McDaniel broke the deadlock before McGuinness – wearing the captain’s armband on her milestone night – produced a cool strike after being teed up by traditional skipper Marissa Callaghan.
Callaghan then became the third Reds player to find the net with an unorthodox finish from Demi Vances’ cross ahead of Rachel Furness wrapping up the scoring on a night that also saw Solitude defender Kelsie Burrows make a second-half substitute appearance.
