Kirsty McGuinness’ fifth strike in Cliftonville Ladies’ defeat of Derry City Women has been voted the Fallone’s Pizzeria Goal of the Month for August.

After receiving possession wide on the left, a smart flick over a defender’s head set McGuinness in the clear down the flank and, having shown good strength and composure to work her way into a shooting position, she put the seal on the Reds’ 12-0 win with a pinpoint left-footed finish (Goal F below).

Congratulations are, meanwhile, extended to Kelsie Burrows, who is today named Cliftonville Ladies’ Player of the Month for August.

Recruited from Linfield Ladies at the end of July, Burrows has played a key role in helping the Reds maintain their challenge at the top of the Danske Bank Women’s Premiership, which has just two rounds of fixtures remaining.
