Minute detail for O’Neill
Paul O’Neill hopes the benefit of playing for 90 minutes on Saturday can stand him and Cliftonville in good stead for this evening’s European Play-Off semi-final with Crusaders.
The 21-year-old has been on the injured list for the last couple of months and, while he acknowledges he and Ryan Curran are working to refamiliarise their partnership after reuniting against Linfield at the weekend, he’s pleased to be back in the reckoning as the season enters its defining conclusion.
“It was going to be difficult for me and Currany,” he explains.
“We haven’t started in a while but it was good to get a full 90 minutes and hopefully we can bring it into Tuesday and we’re able to get the win when it really matters.”
You can read the full O’Neill interview in tonight’s digital edition of The Red Eye, which will be available here on cliftonvillefc.net ahead of kick-off.
