McMenamin departs

Cliftonville Football Club thanks Conor McMenamin for his services following his transfer to Glentoran this evening.

Having featured for the Reds’ Academy, McMenamin returned to Solitude in the summer of 2018 after spells with Linfied, the Glens and Warrenpoint Town, making his debut in the Europa League first qualifying round first leg tie with Nordsjælland.

A scorer of 27 goals in 86 appearances, everyone at Cliftonville extends gratitude to Conor for his endeavours in a Red shirt and offers him best wishes for the future.

The Club can, meanwhile, confirm that Thomas Maguire has joined Warrenpoint Town on loan for the rest of the season.

The 21-year-old – who has scored six times in 61 games since being signed for the Reds by current Town boss Barry Gray in 2018 – will enjoy valuable Danske Bank Premiership experience at Milltown and, in a campaign where the suspension of the Development League has denied players the opportunity to get vital minutes under their belts on a weekly basis, will likewise see him benefit from additional time on the pitch.

Everyone at Cliftonville wishes Thomas well at Warrenpoint and we look forward to welcoming him back to Solitude in the summer.
