Foodbank Collection update

This year’s Foodbank Collection has been brought forward to Tuesday night’s Danske Bank Premiership fixture with Ballymena United at Solitude.

Originally scheduled for Saturday, the restrictions on spectator attendance at Cliftonville’s home game with Portadown have led to Club to alter the arrangements announced in conjunction with the North Belfast Advice Partnership earlier in the week.

In addition to the collection that will be staged between 6.45-7.45pm on Tuesday, supporters can also leave donations into The Reds Shop between 6-7pm on Wednesday, while anyone doing any grocery shopping on Saturday can fill an extra bag for drop-off outside Solitude between 2-3pm.

We are aware that not everybody who would like to take part will necessarily be able to get to Solitude to make a donation, which is why the Club are also pleased to support NBAP’s ‘Sponsor A Child For Christmas’ campaign – a project which aims to help as many youngsters as possible receive presents this festive season.

Sponsorship costs £50 and we are encouraging our fans to contribute whatever they can, with the final sum collated so that the Club can sponsor a number of children in North Belfast. So whether you can offer £5, £10 or £20, anything you can afford will make a valuable difference.

It hasn’t been an easy year for a lot of children in our community and you can donate online by clicking here.
