Different strokes

One week since Cliftonville’s new Away Shirt was launched to acclaim from fans around the world, we’re asking a very simple question to those whose replicas have been delivered – have you noticed anything distinctive about it yet?

Though it may not be immediately obvious at first glance, examination of launch pictures posted here on cliftonvillefc.net and the images being shared by supporters on social media may have helped the more eagle-eyed members of the Red Army to discern that no two jerseys are identical.

It all comes down to the darker yellow strokes and distinguishing green flecks arbitrarily positioned across the shirt, meaning that yours will differ slightly to that of a fellow fan, friend or family member – as households that have taken receipt of more than one replica will no doubt now be racing to inspect.

All of which provides even more reason to continue getting involved in our #RedArmyPlayApart project, which encourages supporters to upload pictures of themselves wearing their new individually-designed jerseys at home and allows further opportunity for comparisons to be made between one shirt and another.

The Club are very grateful to everyone who has contributed to unprecedented sales levels throughout this first week and advises that stock is routinely being replenished in categories that sell out – so be sure to check back if you missed out on your preferred size.

Though shipping is well under way, we are aware of some delays in the postal service but thank supporters for their ongoing patience as we continue to process and post orders of what has already proven to be a very popular addition to the Cliftonville collection.

As was announced in advance of the reveal, sales throughout May will generate funds for the North Belfast Advice Partnership as the Club pays tribute to the charity’s remarkable work, with £5 from the purchase of every Adult Shirt and £3 from Kids Jerseys being donated to the organisation, whose whose Foodbank at Holy Cross Boys’ School has been servicing the North Belfast community throughout the Covid-19 crisis.
